  Municipal and Domestic Water Use: Community Public Surface Water Systems  
 

Based on the listing of community public water systems registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in the Pathfinder to Guernsey subbasin, at least 2,800 people in the subbasin rely solely on surface water sources of supply for their community public water systems. The Town of Evansville uses approximately 350,000 gallons per day (gpd) on average. During peak demand the town uses about 1.0 million gpd.
