Pathfinder to Guernsey Subbasin Overview

 
 

The Pathfinder to Guernsey subbasin is the second largest of the seven Platte River Basin subbasins that are located in Wyoming. The total area of this subbasin is approximately 5,600 square miles. Most of the subbasin is located within Natrona, Converse, and Platte Counties. The main stem of the North Platte River flows through this subbasin. Communities located within this subbasin include Casper, Glenrock, Douglas, and Guernsey. Alcova Reservoir, Glendo Reservoir, and Guernsey Reservoir are major North Platte River federal reservoirs that are located within this subbasin.

The Platte River Basin Plan is a planning tool developed for the Wyoming Water Development Office. It presents estimated current and estimated future uses of water in WyomingÆs Platte River Basin. The Plan is not used to determine compliance with or administration of state law, federal law, court decrees, interstate compacts, or interstate agreements.
