A number of industrial water users, such as oil exploration, refining and reclamation, mining and mine reclamation, aggregate and concrete production, miscellaneous industrial use, road and bridge construction and maintenance, and power generation, are located in the Pathfinder to Guernsey subbasin. Industrial water users in this subbasin have permits to use the largest amount of water for industrial purposes of the seven Platte River Basin subbasins. Permitted industrial water use in this subbasin comprises approximately 36.6 percent of the entire permitted Platte River Basin industrial water use for both groundwater and surface water combined, about 1.9 percent more than the Above Pathfinder subbasin. Groundwater and surface water use compose about 82 percent and 18 percent, respectively, of industrial water use in the Pathfinder to Guernsey subbasin.
