  Municipal and Domestic Water Use: Community Public Conjunctive Water Use Systems  
 

Based on information gathered from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the City of Laramie relies on a combination of surface and groundwater sources to supply a population of at least 27,00 people. This type of system is referred to as a ôconjunctive useö system. The City of Laramie obtains surface water from the Laramie River and groundwater from nine Casper Aquifer wells. The following table summarizes conjunctive water usage within the Upper Laramie subbasin.
