Industrial use of water in WyomingÆs Platte River Basin consists of approximately 75 percent groundwater use and 25 percent surface water use. The aggregate, cement and concrete production sector is the largest permitted industrial water consumer in the Upper Laramie subbasin. The second largest subbasin water consumer; road and bridge construction and maintenance; is permitted to use approximately 50 percent as much as the quantity of water that the aggregate, cement and concrete production industry is permitted to use.
