The Upper Laramie subbasin ranks closely with the Guernsey to State Line subbasin for the lowest amount of water that is permitted for industrial purposes. Based on permitted yields, the Upper Laramie subbasin comprises 2.2 percent of industrial water use in the Platte River Basin. Groundwater and surface water permitted use compose about 36 percent and 64 percent of industrial permitted water use, respectively, in the Upper Laramie subbasin.
