Industrial Water Use: Groundwater and Surface Water Use

 
 

The permitted quantity of water that is used for industrial purposes in the South Platte subbasin is the fourth largest industrial water use amount among the seven subbasins in the Wyoming Platte River Basin. The majority of permitted use is classified as industrial use for aggregate and concrete production. Permitted industrial water use in this subbasin comprises approximately 6 percent of all permitted Wyoming Platte River Basin industrial water use for groundwater and surface water combined. Groundwater and surface water use composes about 96 percent and 4 percent, respectively, of industrial permitted water use in the South Platte subbasin.
