River Basin Available Groundwater Determination
Technical Memorandum

Groundwater in Wyoming is an important resource. The groundwater studies listed below were sponsored by the WWDC and conducted by the Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS), in association with the U.S. Geological Survey and the Water Resources Data System (WRDS). These studies were done in each of the seven river planning basins to define the groundwater resources and examine their potential for development. They identify the aquifers present, extent of the aquifers, recharge areas, water quantity and quality, and estimate safe yields. For more information, visit the WSGS River Basin Plans website.
