The Promised “Second Phase:”

Under the second phase of the California Plan, CA's annual use of river water would be further reduced through:
- additional conservation in the Imperial Valley.
- desalination and reuse of agricultural drainage water if determined to be feasible.
- In addition, CA would work with the Dept. of the Interior and the other Colorado River Basin states to revise if necessary the criteria for operation of Lake Mead.
