Estimated Canal Losses: Considerably greater than typical (20-25%) losses are experienced for the upper reaches of the canal, while larger losses (up to 50%) area experienced near the end of the canal.1

Irrigation Practices: Lands are flood irrigated.1

Crop Types / Consumptive Use: Lands are native grass hay and pasture.1

Return Flows: Return flows are delivered to Henry's Fork, with approximately 50% of the flow captured in the reach between Birch Creek and Coon Hollow, 20% between Coon Hollow and Hisey Hollow, and 30% between Hisey Hollow and Logan Hollow.

Other Operational Information: Water users who have storage rights in reservoirs located in Utah are restricted to a May 15th ditch turn-on date, and a October 1st turn-off date. Other water uses may use water from the ditch when not regulated by priority date.1
