Platte River Basin Advisory Group


Platte Meeting, Sep. 4, 2003

On September 4, 2003, the Platte River Basin Advisory Group was selected at a public meeting in Wheatland. The group was chosen by the public to advise the State Water Planning team on water planning issues throughout the basin. Members of the advisory group will meet bi-monthly through 2004 to identify water related issues and review draft products.

The 1999 Legislature approved the Statewide Water Planning Process, beginning with the Bear River and Green River Basins in southwestern Wyoming. When the Platte River Basin Plan is completed, the group will continue to meet several times per year to discuss important issues.
