Permitted industrial water use in the Horse Creek subbasin is the fifth largest permitted water use consumption in the seven subbasins of the Wyoming Platte River Basin. The majority of permitted industrial use is classified as industrial use for miscellaneous purposes. Permitted industrial water use in this subbasin comprises approximately 5.6 percent of all permitted Wyoming Platte River Basin industrial water use for both groundwater and surface water combined. Permitted groundwater and surface water use composes about 98 percent and 2 percent, respectively, of industrial permitted water use in the Horse Creek subbasin.
