Agricultural Water Use: Crop Consumptive Use

 
 

Consumptive use of irrigation water was calculated for crops during high, low, and normal or average stream flow years during the 1972 through 2001 study period. The results of annual consumptive use calculations for study period years in the Horse Creek subbasin are summarized in the figure below. Assessment of calculated consumptive use values in relation to high, low, and normal or average stream flow years shown in the following figure do not indicate a clear correlation between high, low, and normal or average gauged stream flow years and high, low, and average consumptive use of irrigation water.
