Major industrial water uses in the Above Pathfinder subbasin include mining and mine reclamation, oil exploration, road and bridge construction and maintenance, and miscellaneous industrial use. Permitted industrial water use in the Above Pathfinder subbasin is the second highest of the seven Platte River Basin subbasins. Permitted combined industrial surface and groundwater use in this subbasin comprises approximately 34.6 percent of permitted Platte River Basin industrial water use. Groundwater and surface water use comprise about 90 percent and 10 percent of industrial water use in the Above Pathfinder subbasin, respectively.
