(92 coverages--april and october lack significant minimum consumptive irrigation requirements). Contours were generated using Softdesk version 7.50 with Autocad version 13. Purpose: These maps augment the Green River Basin Water Plan. Supplemental_Information: Assumptions concerning data values along mountain divides center around efforts to force even distribution of contours relative to differences of altitude. Data values for Dixon were taken from Report #5 and adjusted by a factor equal to that applied to the most similar location (Green River). The adjustment factor was obtained from Table A2 of the source document (1992). The southernmost polygon representing the remainder of the basin located outside of Wyoming was assigned the value equal to that in the Little Snake/Baggs area. Logical_Consistency_Report: The coverage was completely reviewed for logical consistency. All polygons are closed and have unique labels. Completeness_Report: Each polygon was attributed by a visual selection process, therefore some minute polygons around the margins of the coverage may have been overlooked. The basin margins are, however, largely associated with assumed values of consumptive use and consumptive irrigation requirements at higher elevations and are not from actual data. The southernmost polygon representing the remainder of the basin located outside of Wyoming was assigned the value equal to that in the Little Snake/Baggs area. Positional_Accuracy: Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy: Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy_Report: The coverage is clipped from a 1:100,000 HUC coverage, and is assumed to be within National Map Accuracy Standards. Process_Step: Process_Description: 1. Data from Table 8 of "CU-CIR Wyoming" were reentered in an Excel spreadsheet and reformatted to be loaded into the Autocad Softdesk version 7.50 contouring package. 2. Data values for the Dixon station were taken from Report #5 and adjusted by a factor equal to that applied to the most similar location(Green River). The adjustment factor was obtained from Table A2 of CU-CIR Wyoming (1992). 3."Fault lines" were prescribed along the Wyoming Range, Gros Ventre Range, Wind River Range, and the Sierra Madres for which assumed values were differentially assigned in order to obtain the most likely contours within the basin consistent with differences of altitude. 4. Mean, minimum and maximum value contours were generated for each month of the growing season and the seasonal total, and each of two crops (Alfalfa and pasture grass/grass hay) using AutoCad version 13 Softdesk version 7.50 contouring software with fault lines and data points as source data, and maximum contour smoothing. 5. The contours were individually imported as ArcCad version 14 themes. Once a satisfactory set of contours was derived, the arcs were cleaned in ArcCad version 14 with a fuzzy tolerance of 10,000 feet (to reduce the inordinate number of vertices), then moderately smoothed in ArcCad using the MODFEAT command. 6. The contours were combined with an HUC outline of the Green River Basin and checked for closure and cleaned as polygon coverages. Attributes equal to the mean value of adjacent contours were assigned to each polygon, with the southernmost polygon outside of Wyoming assigned a value equal to the value representative of the Little Snake/Baggs area. 7. Each coverage was build to derive arc attribute tables so that each contour could be attributed. 8. All mean value coverages were joined in ArcCad 14 (contour attributes could not be retained by this process).
