2015 Basin Advisory Group Meetings

The Wyoming Water Development Office (WWDO) invites you or a representative to attend one or more of our annual Basin Advisory Group Meetings this spring. River Basin Planning has been a part of the Water Development Office since 1997 when the Wyoming State Legislature directed the Office to conduct a water planning feasibility study with the assistance of the University of Wyoming.

The first River Basin Plans were completed in 2007, culminating in the Statewide Framework Water Plan. Since 2007, updates have been completed in five of the seven river basins; groundwater plans have also been done in these five basins. WWDO will begin surface and groundwater updates this summer in the Powder/Tongue and Northeast River Basins. Upon completion of these plans, the next step for the WWDO will be to update the State Framework Water Plan.

We encourage you or a representative to
attend these meetings. There will be special presentations followed by brief updates from agencies and organizations about their work in the basin. This is your opportunity to share with basin residents and learn what others are doing in the basin.
